boo hoo

well, i seriously debated about whether to weigh in today. i was pretty sure there would be a gain and i didn't want to lower morale...but i decided to do it just for accountability.

and i was right, there was a gain. 175. boo hoo.

but, it's not undeserved...i did a lot of snacking and eating out this week, and not nearly enough exercise. so i'm going to work on staying positive and not going off the deep end/shooting myself in the foot and shoveling food this weekend. i'm just going to ignore the numbers for a little while and get back into the habits i had going for the first two or three weeks. exercise really does make a difference.

and if anyone needs a job and would like to be my full time refrigerator & kitchen cupboard "security guard", let me know...

Congrats on the accountability. And not being demoralized by the small gain. Maybe instead of using chains and locks in the kitchen, we need to develop some sort of star trek-like kitchen computer system where we preprogram in how many calories we are allowed to take out per day. After going over the daily calories, the kitchen goes into lockdown. OK, maybe that is a terrible idea.

i think you're on to something with the star trek kitchen system. i would totally use it...and i'm sure there are lots and lots of rich fat people who would pay BIG MONEY for one too! i'll be the guinea pig (har har, no pun intended) and you can start w/ my kitchen. who needs grad school anyway, right? :)

Don't get discouraged. You are still down from your initial or start weight. Also, you've recently been able to identify your triggers for overeating, which is difficult to do. So, you are bound to lose the weight eventually. It's about a new lifestyle, right? Hang in there! You're doing great!

I have two. THey are small, but available for rent...

(btw, the other day, I made reference to you being a wedding "planner." Aaron pointed out I should've been more specific, as in "floral specialist." sorry!)
